Broken Bone!

10/16/09 Broken Bone! Due to a severe case of "tennis elbow" (caused by tennis for sure) Bone is forced to leave the ongoing Into Darkness Festival to give his arm some rest after this years extensive touring. Yesterday in Frankfurt we unfortunately had to shorten the set because of Bone being physically unable to perform any longer. We apologise for the shortened set time but the only other option would have been to cancel the show completely. Still Bone deserves an applause for performing these 45 minutes in severe pain just for all the people who were there. The tour will however go on, we have flown in our old friend Oscar (Thunder) de la Renta from the band Crescendolls that helped us out at a few shows a couple of years ago. We will spend the whole day rehearsing with Oscar to make sure we can give everybody the best show possible tonight. Bone is sticking around for a few extra days just to make sure that Oskar will deliver the goods to his satisfaction before he will go back to Sweden.

New tour drummers!

Due to personal reasons Bone cannot join the band on their tour with KoRn. He will be replaced by Oscar Leander, a friend of the band, for the first 10 shows. after that the one and only Adrian Erlandsoon (Cradle of Filth) will swing the sticks for Deathstars.

Deathstars in the studio!!

On Monday 29th of October Deathstars entered Metrosonic Recording Studios in NYC to begin the recording of their new album to be released in spring 2008. This album will start another chapter in their history of vanity, darkness, blood and sleaze. The recording sessions will continue throughout November and December and the mix is set for January so get prepared for a 2008 filled with exploding Deathglam!

Deathstars to play with KORN

Deathstars have been invited to open shows for Korn on their upcoming European tour throughout January and February 2008. Deathstars will also be headlining a few shows on their own between the dates they perform with Korn. In total there will be 40 shows added. Cat to play with Gemini Five again!

He will temporarily be filling in on lead guitar in Finland (Helsinki Oct 18th) and at the 2 Pub Anchor shows in October 26-27th.

- Cat injured his hand - Greek dates canceled!

This time we unfortunately have bad news...

Today Cat Casino had an accident and has been hurt.

There is though a blessing in disguise, as it seems his hand is not broken, but he does have a badly sprained wrist/hand.

This now means he must take a break from playing guitar until he is back to health which should be at least in time for the forthcoming european tour.

Unfortunately this means that Cat is unable to play the upcoming Greek shows at the weekend and therefore Deathstars have been forced to cancel.

We all feel very sorry about this as the band were looking forward to visiting the Greek fans.

Our deepest apologies go out to all of the fans who were looking forward to these shows and also the promoters.

We will be trying to reschedule the dates and will keep you updated.
